One of the main and simple reasons why anxiety may cause acidity is that when you are anxious or stressed about something in your life, your muscles are tensed up and that pressure causes the acid leak to go up which eventually results in acidity. If you experience acidity regularly, you should reflect if there was anything stressful happening in your life at that point. On the other hand, according to people who experience this regularly, if you live with acidity which might be caused by anxiety, medicines fail to work. The only thing that has been proven to work is bed rest and sleeping for long hours. As your stomach line is irritated, you feel a slight discomfort in your stomach constantly or till the acid leaves your body which is usually through vomiting. To avoid this in the future, you should address the anxiety-inducing factors immediately if you experience mild acidity. If the root cause is resolved, the result will likely disappear as well.
At the end of the day, health matters more than anything. Anxiety is an experience that can’t be easily controlled but you can try several exercises that can help you tackle it smartly in the future.
