Today we’re going to give you some basic tips on how to treat your hair properly and give it the love and attention it deserves. If you follow these simple guidelines, you’ll be able to achieve that beautiful look you’ve been trying to reach for a while. First things first, you need to get to know your hair. What’s your ‘hair type’? Is your hair thick, sometimes hard to tame, and prone to frizzing? Or is it fine, lies limp when it gets too long, and you struggle to maintain volume? Keep this in mind when buying your hair products as it’s really important to treat your hair properly.
Once you have the products that’ll best give your hair the care it needs to receive externally, you can also adopt a few tricks to give it the required attention it needs from you. Washing with lukewarm water provides a less harsh environment for your hair while it’s exposed. Remember to concentrate on your scalp to really get the shampoo absorbed in nicely, and rinse off thoroughly so nothing remains behind. Towel drying hair can be too abrasive for some hair types, but don’t forget to use heat protection before drying or styling with an appliance.

As well as applying heat products before and after, the brush you use will make a big difference as well. Check which bristles best suit your hair type, and will give the desired style you want afterward. Different brushes should be employed for straightening or curling, and if your hair is fine or coarse. Another important tip is to make sure you only straighten or curl your hair when it’s completely dry, otherwise, you may damage it. One final tip to remember when styling your hair, especially for a trickier style, at least one-day-old hair is much easier to style than freshly-washed.
