Of course you don’t want to believe what he’s telling you. Of course you can’t even bring yourself to believe what he’s telling you. It’s not possible, it makes absolutely no sense, and it hurts like hell. Something must be wrong, something else must be going on. You keep telling yourself this over and over, and telling everyone else this too.
But you have to believe what he’s saying, because that’s the truth. The cold, hard truth. You have to stop lying to yourself, and start to move on. You’re only hurting yourself by making excuses for him and lying to yourself. You know deep down the truth, and it’s not getting any easier to keep it up like this.
If he tells you that he no longer loves you, then he means it. He no longer loves you. If he really loved you, he wouldn’t be able to say that to you. If he really loved you, he would never ever think for a second of letting you go. But he did, he let you go, so you need to start letting go too.
I’m so sorry that this is the way it is, that you have to go through this pain. But you’re only making it harder for yourself by not listening to what he’s saying, but choosing to not believe his words.
He told you he doesn’t want to be with you anymore. That means exactly what he’s saying. Stop trying to read through his words and find another hidden message. Stop trying to fight it. You’ve given enough of your precious love. You’ve given everything.
Believe what he’s saying.
