When styling long skirts, one of the most important things to consider is fabric choice and patterning. Depending on what kind of look you’re going for, different fabrics will work better than others. For example, if you’re looking for something more casual and comfortable then lightweight cotton material may be best whereas if you want something more dressy then heavier materials such as tweed or velvet might do the trick! Similarly when it comes to patterns; floral prints create a softer feminine look whilst bold monochromatic stripes give off more of an edgy vibe.

Once you’ve chosen the right fabric and pattern for your long skirt, it’s time to start putting together the rest of your look. One way to make sure that your outfit looks put together is by picking out a complementary top or blouse. Depending on the occasion, this could be a t-shirt, a blouse with ruffles or even just a plain tank top tucked into the skirt. Additionally, adding an elegant belt to your skirt can also give your outfit that extra something! Belts are great for cinching in your waist and creating more shape to the look.
