Just Before We Start 2021…

Just before we say goodbye to 2020 and welcome 2021, it’s the perfect time to look back at the year we had. For me, looking back at my past experiences helps me learn the needed lessons to help me in the future. 2020 was an eventful year, to put it mildly. So much has happened in so many fields of life to each one of us this year. Occupation, health, leisure, family – everything was affected by the spread of the Coronavirus. For me, having been quarantined at home for a significant amount of time, this year was a chance to focus on myself. Having all this time for myself, all of a sudden, allowed me to rediscover myself, to dig deep into myself, and learn some valuable lessons. I learned a lot about my preferences, about my will-power, about the importance my family holds in my life, and so much more during this time. And, as the new year approached, I also used the opportunity to look back at my last year’s new year resolutions.

Unfortunately, due to the chaotic year we had, many of my new year’s resolutions didn’t come to fruition this year. However, you shouldn’t only look back at the past, but also look into the future. We might not have been able to live up to all the resolutions we set for ourselves, but we shouldn’t give up. There is a new year coming up, and we must remain hopeful that it will be better than the one that came before it. That is why even if we couldn’t fulfill all of our new year’s resolutions from last year, it doesn’t mean we should give up and not set new ones for the upcoming year. As I did last year, I will treat this new year as a clean slate and will set myself achievable goals, according to our new, constantly changing reality. Hopefully, this year will be miles better than the one before her, and we will all be able to live up to the expectations and goals we set for ourselves. Happy new year!
