It took me a very long time for me to find the sport that I enjoy practicing. It wasn’t easy, as I never was the sporty type, and there are more sports I hate than ones I enjoy. Also, I struggled for a long time with a lack of motivation. I couldn’t bring myself to exercise, and even when I did, I struggled with keeping it up and continuing it. However, once I found my sport of choice, there is no denying I have made tremendous progress.

About five years ago, I started playing tennis. At first, I didn’t think much of it, just that it wasn’t one of the sports I despised. And, as time went by, I started enjoying and appreciating the game more and more. Now, I make sure to never miss a game and being up to date with the rankings and recent news. After tennis, came pilates. At first, I didn’t know what to expect. I heard great things about it but didn’t know how it’ll work out for me. Thankfully, it went great. I enjoyed the activity and loved the instructor, which made me come back in the following weeks. Last and most recent, was running. Running was something that I flirted with for years, but was never able to practice it over time. Now, with gyms closed, I searched for an outdoor solution – jogging. And, once I set my mind on doing it and committed to it like a tennis or pilates class, I managed to do it weekly, which I didn’t manage to do in the past. It took me a long time, but I finally feel like I managed to open up to different kinds of sports and practice them regularly, even when I do it on my own. For those of you who are still searching for their sport, don’t give up! It’ll happen eventually and will be worth it.
