Being a young adult is probably the most awkward stage ever. We’re all filled with self-doubt and we’re all planning to be spontaneous. Throughout most of our lives, we’re our own worst enemies, but during this specific decade, it’s usually at it’s worst.
Well you know, that only happens if you allow it to. There are many simple things you can do to make the most out of this special decade.
For one, pay attention to what you put in your body. Take ownership of yourself, and don’t let the desire for short-term pleasures ruin you. Real self-love is about parenting yourself, rather than babying yourself. This means in other words, drink responsibly.
It’s also important to get yourself moving, not only when it comes to working out. This also means moving to another place. Your hometown is your comfort zone, and you need to leave it. Pick a cool, trendy and young city with endless opportunities waiting for you take. Force yourself to be in an environment where you’ve got no choice but to improve your social and communication skills.
Then once you’ve found yourself a new city, get yourself a job that you have no experience in. Yes, you got that right. See what else is out there and there you will learn your strengths and weaknesses, what you love, and what you’re less than passionate about.
Resist that urge and thing that everyone is telling you to do called settling down. You don’t have to take the fast journey to get there. Sometimes we need to take the longer route to get to where you’re supposed to be. Take it slow, especially with such high divorce rates.
