Feeling stressed? Had a long week? Looking for a way to unwind? Well, it’s time to treat yourself to a pamper day. Taking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life can seem daunting, but it’s also super important. Simply taking a few hours to relax by yourself can be beneficial in numerous ways. Relaxing can help reduce stress levels, boost your mood and improve concentration, as well as lower blood pressure, ease muscle tension and improve your digestion.

First things first, you need to create the right atmosphere. It’s important to choose the right room; be it the bathroom, bedroom or lounge, stick to one area so you won’t need to run back and forth. Put away any phones or tablets – it’s your time to disconnect and be with yourself. Dim the lights and light a few soft-scented candles, and put on some calming music. Now it’s time to make some choices. This is YOUR pamper day, so you choose how you want to pamper yourself. Below are a few tips of different ways to relax, it’s important that you choose the ones that suit you best.

Hair and face. Using a hair mask that is appropriate for your hair type, gently comb it through your hair to evenly distribute. Now wrap up your hair in shower cap or plastic turban, to let the product do its thing. Now it’s time for a face mask. There’s a wide variety of options; sheet masks, dry and peels, creams, and many more. Use the one that you prefer most, and carefully apply to your face. Don’t forget to add a cucumber slice on each eye, and you’re ready to kick-back and relax. If a bath is on your must-do relaxation list, we’d recommend combining it with this stage. How about some rose-scented bubble bath, or ocean breeze bath bombs as well?

Hands and feet. These can often be forgotten, but also deserve just as much TLC. Gently file your nails down, and soak your hands in some warm water. You can slowly massage each hand with the other, and apply some rich hand cream to your hands and cuticles. As for your feet, you can apply the same method, or apply a sock-mask. These will nourish and soften your feet and leave them feeling refreshed.
