Do you know what the two most popular hot beverages are? If you guessed coffee and tea then you have hit the nail on the head. Coffee and tea are two hot beverages that are enjoyed all over the world. With that said they each have their own strength and benefits. We all know that caffeine gives you energy to go about your day and tea or well certain types of teas help calm you down when you need it. Now because tea can help calm you down, you may be wondering if there are teas that can help you sleep and if there are what are they?

Before we get into what teas can help you fall asleep, you need to know that these teas aren’t miracle workers. It is important to note that they work differently on all people and they promote sleep but can’t actually make you sleep. This brings us to our first and probably most popular tea, chamomile. Chamomile tea has been used for a number of different health-related issues including insomnia for years. When it comes to sleeping, chamomile is said to help improve your quality of sleep. This means that there is a possibility that you will sleep much better after you drink a cup of chamomile.

Our next tea may come as a surprise because of how unique it is. We are talking about lavender tea. That’s right, you can actually drink lavender tea. Yes, it may seem a bit weird seeing that lavender is an aromatic plant but all teas start off as plants. Once the plant is picked and dried, you are then able to enjoy it. Lavender has lots of calming properties that can help you relax, improve your sleep and even lessen the number of times you wake up during the night.
