We all want to better ourselves in some way or another. What’s the difference between us? How far we are in that journey.
We need to sit down with ourselves, and ask ourselves how much we are actively doing this, and how much we’ve accepted the work that needs to be done in order to pursue the better life that we want.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to you. You are the only one that truly has the power to change your life, and it takes a whole lot of work. But you can be assured, that no matter what, it will always be worth the effort in the end.
Start by taking note of the things you’re having trouble letting go of. Not just in terms of clothing and material items, but truly dig deeper. Perhaps your friends are no longer contributing to your growth, or maybe a bad habit. Become aware, and then clean these things out of your life.
Pay attention to the way in which you talk about others. Are you supportive, loving and happy for them, or are you bitter and jealous? The way we talk about others is in fact a pretty big refection of ourselves, believe it or not. Start speaking more positively about yourself and who you want to be, as well as who you surround yourself with.
Surround yourself too with people that are not constantly judging others or constantly complaining and spreading negativity. You’ve got to be selfish when it comes to your mental health, and not allow anyone to stop you from getting to where you want to be.
Try to touch on the areas in your life that you would life to improve, and not on what you think you should want. Be honest with yourself, and let go of all that unnecessary guilt.
