During this quarantine, which brought with it a lot more time to scroll through different social media platforms, you too probably come across the hottest handbag of the moment. Prada’s bowling bag with its rounded corners, short handles, and the vintage ambiance that surrounds it is captivating every fashionist’s heart, as well as ours.

We all know the drill by now. Once every few months, another branded bag takes the fashion world by storm, taking its place as the right accessory for the season by influencers who introduce the new addition to the wardrobe. So, after Dior’s “Saddle” bags and te Pillow bags trend that came before it, it’s time for Prada’s bowling bag to conquer the scene.

This bag, which I can’t enter my Instagram feed without seeing, is a novelty to a model the fashion house proposed twenty years ago. Even back then the unique bag swept away many fashion enthusiasts. The bag is based on the bowling bags from the 1920s, created to allow easy carrying of the game balls. After the new version was introduced at the brand’s Prada Resort 2020 campaign, anticipation interest began.

The “Bowling” bag comes in three monochromatic variations (brown, pink, and black), but more interesting are those that combine two colors like black and white, pink and white, or brown and white. Although it didn’t stop our favorite media influencers, it’s important to note that the bag’s price doesn’t suit every pocket. So, while we collect our coins, there’s nothing left for us to do but to continue obsessing over this bag.
