Uncomfortable Feelings That Are Healthy

Discomfort is what happens when we are faced with change.  Unfortunately, however, we often confuse it with unhappiness.  Generally, it takes a certain level of discomfort in order to motivate ourselves to make a real change and break a belief that has been limiting us.

If you’re feeling as though as your reliving your childhood struggles, then it could mean that you are becoming more conscious of why you are feeling and thinking certain things, and then be able to change it.

If you’re feeling like you’re lost or without direction, it’s actually a sign that you are becoming more present in your life.  You are living less within what you think you should be doing and more in the moment.  If you’ve been having random moments of anger or sadness, it’s usually because they are coming up in order to be recognized.

If you feel the intense need to be alone then perhaps it means that you are re-calibrating.  If you are downsizing your friend group and starting to feel more uncomfortable around negative people, this also is very healthy.

Perhaps if you are feeling unsure of who you really are, then maybe this means that you’re about to find something great and that you are in the process of evolving.
