We have all been in a situation where we miss someone dearly. It may be your significant other, your parents, your siblings, your friends, or even your dog, but when distances have kept you apart from your loved ones, there comes a time when you miss them so much that you feel like packing your bags and catching the next flight to them and just hug them till your heart feels warm again. Of course, life does not work that way, and doing so might not always be possible. Still, what can you do to fill that void in your heart? What can you do to replace the feeling you get in their presence?
Nothing might really be able to replace their live presence but what you can do is bust out that photo album of cherished memories and remember the times you had spent together. You might not be in the same company right now but remember how fun that night was and can definitely put a smile on your mouth. If that does not work, or you simply do not have pictures of the times you have spent together then maybe you could just give them a call and get updates about each other’s lives as well as dive into a time capsule where you re-live and recount the memories you have made together over the phone.
Talking about good times can make even the most trying times better. If you want to offer a gesture that lets them know you miss them then maybe you could have some flowers or a card delivered to their place. It is sure to put a smile on their face just like it would on yours when they return the love. If not anything, even a heartwarming text to them can serve as a gesture and if nothing works, then maybe it is time you actually do try to get on that flight after all.
