What to Wear When Working From Home

We’re all trying to adjust to our new normal, which is working from home. Now, after a while at home, there’s one question in my mind. What exactly am I supposed to wear? I won’t lie, for a day or two, it was fun staying with my pajamas. However, I soon grew tired of it.

Changing out of my pajamas helped me feel like myself again. It helped me get in a more serious, professional, state of mind. I know it’s not perfect, and that in some days (like today for me), it won’t happen. But, trust me, it is helpful and efficient. These days, when everything around us is changing, it helps to have somewhat of a norm; to have a sense of security and familiarity.

But, when changing out of pajamas, what should we be changing in to? First off, we should probably stick to items we can wash, because sending clothes to dry cleaning is not the move at the moment.

Second, even if not pajamas, I still believe you should wear something comfortable. When I say I like to change out of my pajamas, I don’t mean changing into a mini dress or super tight jeans. Instead, I wear something comfortable like wide pants, T-shirts, sweaters, sweatpants, leggings, etc..

When working from home, I prefer to wear something other than the pajamas I slept in. I found that personally, changing out of my pajamas helps me concentrate and work better. Why won’t you try it for yourself?

In hope for better days,

Penelope.
