Do you find yourself struggling to find something to wear while working out? Well, you are not alone. We all struggle to find the perfect outfit that serves as functional and cute. As if that’s not enough to drive you crazy, there are all these new fitness influencers constantly promoting new exercise tights and tops. So who do you trust? What do you wear? It can all be very confusing.
After a good workout, you probably feel tired or more exhausted and you are probably covered in sweat. This may come as a surprise but what you wear can actually affect how you feel after a workout. You may feel like sweating an old pair of sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt but you may have to put a bit more thought into it. There are several factors that affect how comfortable you are while working out.

This includes the fabrics your clothes are made of. Fabric is so important because there are some that are specifically designed to take sweat away from your body while exercising and some are designed to absorb your sweat. There are three different types of fabrics that are used to make workout clothes. This includes wicking and cotton. It is best to try and avoid fabrics that don’t offer breathability. This means that you shouldn’t wear clothes that have a rubber base or a plastic base.
Lastly, you should choose clothes that fit your body and the workout you have planned. Try going for something that is loose-fitting and comfortable. With that said, if you are running or using a bike try to avoid clothes that are wide-legged which can get tangled and result in you being injured. Now if you are doing something that requires lots of movement or stretching such as yoga or pilates, go with something that offers you more stretch and something that wicks the sweat away from your body.
