When Your Anxiety Takes Over
October 24, 2018
Laura Lee

That text message you sent last week was never answered. It’s annoying you. But not everyone works the same way you do. They will answer you. Just on their own time. Be patient. Don’t reread everything you said. Don’t question yourself if you did the right thing.

Stop playing out every possible scenario over and over again in your head. Shut it off. Shift your thoughts somewhere else, to somewhere more worthwhile. What you’re thinking about nonstop is not going to solve your problem.

You’re worried about tomorrow, about the future, and about that long list of things you need to figure out. It’s keeping you up at night. But  you will get it all done, close your eyes, sleep and everything will work out.

Stop doubting things, including yourself.  Stop being afraid of failing, and stop beating yourself up every time you feel less than perfect. People will always be upset with you in your mind, you can’t please everyone, but you can at least start with yourself.  You’ve done nothing wrong, so stop apologizing when you don’t need to.

Stop worrying, and stop letting the anxiety control you. There is so much more to you than your anxiety.  Everything is ok. The people in your life that are meant to be there, will be there, and those that aren’t intended to stay, will do you a favor by leaving.
