Life has a way to always surprise us. When facing all the twists and the turns it brings with it, we may feel sadness, emptiness, and self-doubt. It is in those moments where we face a crucial test. Are we going to rise up, or are we going to let it keep us down at the ground? It is in those moments that you need to remind yourself – you are strong enough.
I know it is sometimes hard to remember and is easier said than done. However, we need to memorize and repeat to ourselves this message constantly. We are strong enough. We need to learn how to believe in ourselves, to know our worth, to know that we got it within us. This is something that doesn’t happen in an instant, I’m aware, but once you possess it, you will notice the difference.
You are strong enough to get through the bad times. Through the heartbreak and the pain. You’re strong enough to do things on your own. To change the wheels on your car, to build that IKEA shelf, to defy the odds. You are strong enough to speak up. You are strong enough to express your opinion and truth. You are strong enough to achieve your dreams. You are strong enough to make a change.
Plus, life is too short to waste time doubting yourself. We need to spend our time on this earth in belief. Believe in yourself. Believe in your capability and strength.
Again, I know that this is not as easy as it sounds. It takes some real, hard, and extended work to get to that state of mind. You need to get to a place of self-acceptance. To know that you are worthy. To feel that you can achieve things when you put your all in it. At the same time, you need to understand that things are not handed to you on a silver platter. It takes work, hard work, to achieve what you wish, to bring it to fruition.
So work hard. Repeat this lesson. So that the next time that life tries to knock you off your feet you’ll know. You are strong enough.
